Program Supervisor

Emily McLeod

I grew up in Edmonton, I’ve always known that I wanted to work with children. From an early age I often wanted to look after my younger cousins and was described as being a “little mother.”

I attended Grant MacEwan university where I graduated with a diploma in Early Learning & Childcare, I also worked at the YMCA of Northern Alberta as a regional float allowing me to gain an array of knowledge in the early care field. I have worked in multiple child care centers over the years which allowed me to have the ability to own and operate a private dayhome until March 2020.

In 2021 we moved to our forever home just south of Cherhill to be able to raise our children in a rural setting. The kids love to help take care of all our animals! We raise pigs, chickens, & turkeys! I love nature, being outside, baking and spending time with my family. Helping children develop a sense of self is one of my biggest joys in child care.

Being one of the program supervisors at Sangudo has been such an incredible learning experience, every day I learn something new. I am so proud of what we have accomplished at SCAD and cannot wait to see what the future holds!
