Staff Bios

I was born and raised in Mayerthorpe. I come from a very large family and have
always been around young children. I danced for 13 years up until I graduated high school. I
trained in ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, hip hop and pointe and I loved every minute of it.

Once I graduated high school I attended the Alberta Academy of Aesthetics in Edmonton and became a licensed Esthetician. I then moved back home to Mayerthorpe when I was asked to teach dance classes which I did for three years and it brought me so much joy working with those children. It wasn’t until my son was born that I realised I wanted to work with children as my profession and when I heard about the Daycare in Sangudo I began working on my Level 1 in hopes to be able to join the team. In my spare time I enjoy camping, boating, and most importantly spending time with my family.

Once September came around both me and my son joined the family at Sangudo Children’s Academy and Daycare and I not only love the people I work with, I have grown very fond of each and every child I have come to meet. I am unsure of the exact path I want to take to further my education but I do know that I want it to be in Early Childhood Development.
